What would Bess of Hardwick characteristics and looks be?

What could I imagine Bess of Hardwick to look like?

Since she was second richest women after the Queen I believe she would follow all the trends that where about in that era.

What would her characteristics be?

I believe Bess is a gold digger and even though she looks innocent she has an evil side to her which I believe she plotted to poison her husband. She can't get enough to of money since she was poor at the beginning she has had a taste of wealth and wants more.

I have chosen to make her look simple as I want her to look pretty with plain makeup. I want the backdrop of the picture to be black and the light to shine onto her, while she is doing and innocent pose but has a hard look into her eyes. Going to have to practice this pose I think this will just pull all the traits of her together.
